Located
in Abingdon, VA, the Barter Theatre is one of the oldest regional
theatres in the United States and one of the few to have a resident
repertory company. Evalyn served as an Associate Artistic Director,
director, and resident company member during her years at

The
NEW YORK THEATRE BARN is committed to creating and developing new,
evocative works that are based on the principle that theatre is a
collaborative art form that can only be successful when the process
of the artists involved is nurtured and supported, and when the
artists are encouraged to explore new ideas and the relevance of
old ideas in a modern context, as well as themes and issues that
will influence and effect future generations of theatre artists and
audiences. At the same time, the NEW YORK THEATRE BARN will
encourage and nurture the development of a diverse community of
artists who share the same ideas and background, and who will be
dedicated to the education and advancement of their fellow artists
and the community they serve.
The York Theatre Company
The
York Theatre Company is the only theatre in New York City - and one
of very few in the world - dedicated to developing and fully
producing new musicals and preserving neglected, notable shows from
the past. For over three decades, York's intimate, imaginative
style of producing both new and neglected classic musicals has
resulted in critical acclaim, multiple awards and nominations, and
acclamation from artists and audiences alike.
Project Shaw
For
the first time in recent memory, every play George Bernard Shaw
ever wrote for the stage will be presented to New York audiences.
Every sketch, full-length and one-act play will be performed as a
concert reading. The series will be presented, as Shaw preferred,
with no admission charge. As produced by David Staller at New
York’s legendary Players Club, one Monday a month will find
eager Shavians gathering for this unique event. Each month, a
specially assembled, star-studded cast will present a different
play - many of which have never before been performed in New York
City.

Richard Laurence Baron
Evalyn's
brother, an "ad guy" with a successful, ongoing marcom career. He
creates concepts and copywriting for clients in virtually every
business segment (as varied as airborne electronic warfare systems,
plant automation, academic institutions, coal gasification
infrastructure, oilfield technologies, and computer chip
substrates). He conceives and implements national and international
programs, invents brand and corporate names, and (although usually
more modest) continues to receive creative awards from the American
Advertising Federation, the Business Marketing Association, the One
Show, and the American Business Press. His primary goal
is...amiability.
Peter Yonka
Evalyn's husband - an actor, singer & composer.
